Pakistan Air Force is the prestigious national institution. It invites applications from various candidates, interested to building up their career in the field. Various courses are offered by the government sector.
Following are the branches for which short service commission (SSC) and special purpose training sessions are offered. Criteria and the relevant details are given below:
Duration of all the courses is 20 weeks. Training sessions are conducted for posts of pilot officer, flight lieutenant and lieutenant leader. Except for lieutenant’s posts, all the posts demand male citizens to apply.

- Medical Branch (SPSSC)

- A & SD (Civil Engineering) Course (SSC)
- Education Branch (SPSSC)

- Information Technology (SSC)
- A & SD Course (SSC)
The selection procedure requires:
- Intelligence test followed by Academic test in relevant subject
- Initial medical examination and interview at I & S Centre
- Psychological test of short listed candidates only
- ISSB for Psychologist Only
- Interview by AHQ Special Selection Board
- Final Medical Examination at CMB, Karachi
