Lime Stone: Lime Stone is widely used in the manufacturing of paper, soap & cement. When it is burnt, we get lime which is used in white-washing houses. There are large deposits of lime stone in every province of Pakistan.
Wide spread deposits are in Kohat, Nowshera, DI Khan (NWFP), Salt Range, Potwar Plateau, Margalla Hills (Punjab), Loralai, Harnai (Balochistan), Hyderabad, Mango Pir, Kot Diji & Ranipur (Sindh).
Manganese: Scaltered occurrence of Manganese has been reported from the southern and central parts of Lasbetka District, Balochistan. In this region the Geological Survey of Pakistan (GSP) has started a programme of surface-geological studies and regional geophysical surveys to determine the regional control of manganese mineralization. Test drilling is also being carried out in selected localities.
