The chief of Jamaat-e-Ulema Islam Fazal group (JUI-F) Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman is famous as Maulana Diesel. Not only common people but political opponents also call him Maulana Diesel but do you know why he is called so?
It is alleged that he took several permits of diesel during the government of Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto in 1993-1996. It is said that he established the diesel business using his links in the government, it is because of this that he was referred as Maulana Diesel by political opponents.
His opponents allege and claim that Maulana Fazal Ur Rehman earned alot of money with the help of diesel permits when he was Minister of Petroleum.
It is said he used the permits to do corruption in diesel trading by smuggling diesel in higher rates and prices to Afghanistan. Though no one have been able to proof any of these allegations yet he is called with the same name.
Those who claim he sold huge amount of diesel in black market also claim that this was only possible because of his position in the government. They claim that he was busy in making illegal money when people were suffering from shortage of diesel.
This is the main reason that people started to call him as Maulana Diesel because they believe he took advantage of his petroleum ministry and brought diesel crisis for the people of Pakistan in the early of 90s.

Very good. Mullah Diesel a true character of a munafiq-A-Azam. If you look in the history, you could find him as Muawiay, Abu Sufiyan, Abu Jahal and Yazeed.
He is the biggest supporter of corrupt government practices in Pakistan, becoming a forceful spoon in every pot. He is a shame on the name of Ulama, maligning the true scholars with his greed of power and money. He should be tried for his corruption and potentially be given a life sentence!
