Meera To Begin Her Career In Pashto Film Industry

Irtiza Rubab, Meera the Lollywood actress has decided to work for Pashto movies, ending up her further contributions to the local media industry. The 38-year-old Lollywood actress took the decision after her last movie Ishq Khuda did not succeed in getting good response for which she is being highly criticized by the critics, media celebrities and movie watchers. She is said to return back the amount of Rs 5 lacs taken by her for the future projects.

With the last movie, Meera looks forward to build her new image by playing role in the Pashto film industry. Worbal, movie of the Lollywood actor Shahid Khan would be featuring Meera in the lead role. The movie would be shot in Murree and Islamabad.

Shahid Khan, known as Shaan in the industry expressed positivism for Meera’s interest in the Pashto films. He said that this would contribute to raising the standards of the movies with Urdu and Punjabi actors playing roles.

Speaking about the film, Shaan said that the movie is not province-centric but addresses the issues on national level and when Meera was briefed the details of the movie she readily accepted the offer, which is a good sign.

Mohammad Kamal Pasha is the writer where as the movie dialogues and camera work have been done by Saeed Tehkali and Tahseen Khan respectively.
