Motorcycle Riding Banned In Karachi & Quetta On 16th November

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has annouced that Government has imposed a ban on riding motorcycle in Karachi and Quetta on 16th November. The ban will be effective from 6 AM to 7 PM in Karachi and Quetta on Friday.

Rehman Malik said that this decision has been made because there were reports of terrorist activities in these cities. Rehman Malik added that mobile phone service many also be suspended if needed.

In the recent few days more than 70 people were killed in Karachi. Targeted and sectarian killing were happening in Karachi and police has failed to stop these killing. Law Enforcement agenices have failed to maintain law and order situation in the metropolitan city.

Residents of Karachi have shown their anger over the deceision of motorcyle ban. A man living in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 17 said that thousands of people use motorcycle in Karachi and go their office through bikes. He said that this ban will hurt the common people and people will have to use public buses.

Update: Ban on Bike order in Karachi has been suspended by Sindh High Court. Ban on Bike in Quetta didn’t postpone.
