Karachi: MQM Haqiqi (MQM-H) leader Waseem Ahmed said that due to the high increment in taxes people are getting troubled day by day as inflation rate is already high. Government is putting taxes gradually on nation; it is like to deprived people from life by way of payment of high taxes is totally going impossible for the people.
During an interview Waseem Ahmed added that public is getting robbed by the government in context of high taxes as their economic conditions are getting worst step by step. It seems they have decided to destroy financial conditions of the nation. Government is receiving 40% taxes legally and 60% illegally from the public.
Begin with the facts about inequality; globally the gap between the rich and the poor has been increasing day by day as capital gains taxes by benefiting wealthy and rich people while poor people are stressed by the mobile’s card taxes and like others. It is unfairness by the Tax receiver with the lower class people who are not able to pay these kinds of high taxes, Waseem further said.
According to experts the tax burden on the average worker is currently about 73 percent of income, so people can’t live on their incomes. Because more people can’t afford to live on their incomes, the poverty rate goes up. Many poor people, unable to find jobs because government overtaxed the economy, turn to crime to get the money needed to support their families. This causes the crime and robbery rate to go up.
