Mr. Waqar Hussain Shah is a member in current Sindh Assembly whose tenure spans form the year 2013 till date. He is a learned politician who belongs to constituency PS-128 Karachi-XL. He is a senior politician among the ranks of left–wing, liberal, democratic party famous for chanting liberal ideas, rights for minorities and modernism led by Altaf Hussain and supporter base mainly centred in middle class, Muttahida Quami Movement. He has taken part in relief efforts and has raised the issues of his constituency at government doors.
Mr. Waqar Hussain Shah is currently serving as a Member of Standing Committee on Minorities Affairs. His academic qualification is that of a Master of Arts in Political Science. By profession he is a business-person. He is living a pleasant married life and has raised four children. He was born in Karachi on 10th June 1967. He was raised and nurtured in Karachi. His father’s name is Sadiq Shah who has played key role in his development.
Mr. Waqar Hussain Shah has served as Nazim in Local City Government from 2005 to 2010 and as Naib Nazim in Local City Government from 2001 to 2005. He has travelled to France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and United Kingdom.
