MQM Workers are known as “Saathi”

The workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) are called as Saathi as well as all workers are used to call each other Saathi or Saathi Bhai. However, the founder of MQM Altaf Hussain also recalls their workers as Saathi as all the workers got enthusiastic with they called as Saathi Bhai or Saathi.

In Karachi most of the people are also called MQM workers with this title” Saathi” as Saathi word has also used in MQM’s anthem most of the time. On the other hand, Satathi word is used commonly in all over the Pakistan for MQM workers who love to be called as Saathi Bhai. MQM is known as one of the largest political party of MQM which generally represents Urdu-speaking Mohajirs.

MQM has stronghold especially in Karachi as it has huge fan following in all over the Karachi due to which it always remain leading party in the city at all times. MQM was established by by Azeem Ahmed Tariq & Altaf Hussain in 1984 with the aim to support and represent Mohajir community. It is pertinent to mention that MQM recalled as Mohajir Qaumi Movement at the time of its inception but Mohajir was replaced by Muttahida in order to welcome all national groups of Pakistan.
