In this regard, NADRA’s spokesman told that NADRA is closely checking suspects’ identity cards due to which almost a million ID cards have been blocked so far. He also told that those ID cards which have been blocked not belong to the Pakistanis as most of them are Afghanis. On the other hand, neither NADRA’s spokesperson nor its Chairman can explain that how foreigners had achieved ID cards. While a source of NADRA also told that NADRA cannot issue or renew the ID cards of those people who do not have any evidence of being Pakistani because NADRA has all records including family records of every Individual of Pakistan.
It is worth mentioning here that a joint verification committee has been formed recently on the directions of the Interior Ministry in order to check ID cards of suspected people in every province.
