Nawaz Sharif Wants Friendliness With India

Nawaz Sharif and Narendra ModiIslamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wrote a letter to India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the Republic Day of India in which he expressed best wishes for the people of India. Pakistan wants friendly and cordial relations with India, Nawaz Sharif marked in his letter on Monday.

The 65-years old politician Nawaz Sharif also added in his letter on the occasion of 66th Republic Day of India that Pakistan is seeking for the strong relationships, common interests and stability between the two countries. To establish a peaceful and prosperous region is possible only with the joint efforts of both countries, Prime Minister added.

Nawaz Sharif believes that healthy relationships between the neighboring countries can bring prosperity, peace and economic diplomacy in any country due to which positive bridge among countries are essential for the progress of the nation. However Pakistan is looking for positive response from India in the reply of the Prime Minister’s letter.

It is pertinent to mention that Sartaj Aziz, prime minister’s adviser on foreign affairs and national security also said regarding Nawaz Sharif’s letter that Pakistan wants to shake hand with India with mutual respect and sovereignty but is not ready to cooperate on its national interests.
