Pakistan Educational Policy For 1998 To 2011

In 1998 a national policy of education for 1998 to 2011 had been implemented in country in which following aspects have been attached great importance.

  • Providing of education to all the citizens
  • Use of all formal and informal resources
  • Raise the rate of admission into schools up to 100% for the children aged 5 to 10 years
  • Sanction/enact a law of compulsory education by 2004-05
  • Introduce the course of technical matric
  • To develop technical and professional education
  • Chalk out training programme for teachers of technical education
  • Enhance the scope of scientific education introduce computer education (training) in secondary and higher secondary classes raise the standard of teacher’s training pertaining to all levels of teachers
  • Establishment of educational foundation (for opening schools in rural areas)
  • Establishment of District Education Authority in every district and public participation in it
  • Increase allotment for education in national budget from 2.2% to 4% of GNP
  • Introduce modern subjects in religious schools and to raise their educational standards. Develop the games at every level of education
