Pakistan & Turkey Relations

Relations of Pakistan with Turkey are historic in nature. When Great Britain, First World War, started to divide Turkey in to pieces, Muslims of undivided India started Khilafat Movement against this act of Great Britain and donations were collected for the financial aid of Turkey.

Medical groups were sent to Turkey and strong protest and agitation was launched in India against Britain Government. This strong protest compelled British to reconsider her policy regarding Turkey. After creation of Pakistan, political, social, cultural & economic cooperation is increasing day by day between two countries.

Turkey is the member of Regional Cooperation for Development. Pakistan has supported Turkey pertaining to the Kabras Issue where Kabras is the point of issue between Turkey & Greeks. Turkey, in response, supported Pakistan related to Kashmir Issue.
