Sri Lankan magazine revealed that Pakistani girls who are between 16 and 15 years old are smuggling to Sri Lanka with promise of lucrative job on tourist visa where they force to get involve in dancing in night clubs and sex work. The gang which is involve in this smuggling racket are supervising by the powerful politicians of Lahore.
A magazine also told that the special investigation unit of the Department of Immigration and Emigration has revealed the network of girls smuggling as five girls have been arrested in recent raid who are between 16-25 years. According to the report, another group is involved in girls smuggling business along with regional politicians as there are four Pakistani personnel who are smuggling Pakistani girls to Sri Lanka along with their group.
It is also said in a report that, two Pakistani criminals fled from the country out of four Pakistani when Pakistani girls arrested in this case. However Department of Immigration and Emigration arrested two suspects from the Colombo Airport as these suspects tried to escape but remain unsuccessful. Two arrested suspects revealed in an investigation that they started this business previous month and it is running with the help of regional politicians from Lahore. It is important to mention that arrested girls in this regard area also belong to Lahore as they used to work in regional Palm Estate before smuggled to Sri Lanka.
