Pakistani Researches Introduce Software to Combat Night-Blindness

Islamabad: Pakistani researchers have developed new software aimed to combat weak eye sight of people who face difficulty in seeing at night time. The appreciable contribution has been made by the three researchers at the Federal Urdu University located at the Southern province of Sindh in the metropolis city of Karachi.

The notable men behind the achievements are researchers Dr. Kamran Ahsan, Obaid Khan and Muhammad Saleem. According to United Nations International Health Department survey and researches, around 5.2 million people are affected with night-blindness. According to a research around 10 % of the pregnant women face nigh-blindness problem.

It has been told upon that through the installation of this software, to greater extent problem of night- blindness can be eased. According to the researchers, ‘smart phones application’ is greatly helpful to the night-blindness victims. Those people who face difficulty in travelling at night should use this application to direct their way.

By using the application night-blinded people can easily walk to hotels, library, go and come back easily anywhere with ease and safety. People using the application through GPRS can be tracked down of their locations.

Through sun rise and sun set, the application would upgrade the smart phones of the night- blinded people automatically.
