Pakistan is considered among developing countries of the world where poverty level is high. Other developing and poor states of the world don’t have resources to get income but in Pakistan, we have thousands of resources from which we can earn billions of dollars every year. Despite of this fact, millions and billions of Pakistani rupees have been stolen in corruption. In a recent program on Channel 92, financial analyst Farrukh Saleem has quoted the statement of Federal Minister Ishaq Dar, in which he had said that more than 2 billion dollars have been transferred in Swiss Banks.
According to Farrukh Saleem, UNODC and World Bank had taken an initiative in 2007 which is called Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative. He said that the reports of this initiative states that around 40 billion dollars have been stolen and transferred in Swiss Banks every year from different developing nations. He said that the Nigerian Govt. had written a letter to Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative and asked it to recover the amount of corruption made by former president from the Swiss Banks. Furrukh Saleem said that 380 million dollars have been re-transferred to Nigeria by the Stolen Asset Recovery Initiative.
In his closing remarks, Farrukh Saleem said that the Government of Pakistan should have to written just a letter for the recovery of 2 billion dollars from Swiss Banks. He also mentioned that not a single penny of Pakistan would be spent in the whole process but the government is not interested in this.
Farukh grant us more reports about this
it is government duty to get money back recover it on priority and immediatly basis in the interest of justice and nation.
Very sorry to say that DAKU can not bring that money back as they are also corrupt, and that’s why they are not interested, and they would never be. For this we have to vote for change, change all the corrupt faces.
