Islamabad: PTI Chief Imran Khan’s remarks on Monday over women status representation in the parliament and their qualification stirred anger among the women MNAs and MPAs who retaliated back challenging the qualifications of his party workers.
PML N MNA Anusha Rehman questioned the PTI leader if his party has served democracy in any way. She said that as he doesn’t hold any representation in the National Assembly, he does not hold any right to challenge the status quo of women who have earned the position in the assemblies as per the constitution rule.
Ms Shahnaz Wazir Ali , Chairperson of Higher Education Commission (HEC) said the earlier too oppositions were faced against women reserved seats in the past but such attitude of Imran Khan has proved him to be non- political who does not go with constitution and social justice.
Begum Shahnaz Wazir Ali is a social activist and a special assistant to the Prime Minister. She was a member of National Assembly who spent her 35 years in policy making and serving as member of provincial and federal government She has worked much for the educational promotion countrywide.
