Pure Drinking Water In Sindh

Water is the most important and basic requirement for human being. Water is the fundamental human right of any country’s citizen because life can’t exist without water. But now pure and healthy drinking water has become a great concern.

In different parts of Sindh polluted water is supplied and arsenic contaminated. It has emerged a great threat for public health. The citizen of Hyderabad is not being provided clean water and proper sewerage system. Citizens are feeling that this city is victim of official neglect.

Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Manager told that we are facing lot of problems regarding employee’s salaries, dues bills and machinery repair and maintenance due to non provision of funds. We have demanded around 2 billion rupees from Sindh government before 3 months. But they are not giving us proper response.

Hyderabad is the second largest city of Sindh. But Sindh government is not providing any facilities regarding clean water, trash system and other administrative work due to carelessness.
Recently the United Nations International Children’s Fund (UNICEF) conduct collaborated investigation on pure drinking water.

They had prepared a report after weeks of investigation. This report shows that arsenic exist in ground water and demand immediate attention and effective action.

Provincial and federal government should take collective responsibility for the preparation of a plan for its citizen. They should launch low cost arsenic systems and treating filter for rural and urban areas population in arsenic affected areas at household levels.
