Relived Day 22 December 1939

The candidates nominated by Quaid-e-Azam to participate in the general elections of 1936-37, although could not be successful in the Muslim majority areas but acquired glorious success in the Muslim minority areas. Congress won the elections of 1936 and when Hindus came in power, they did not miss any opportunity to be cruel with the Muslims.

The Congress government came to an end in 1939, Quaid-e-Azam made an appeal to Muslims to observe December 22, 1939 as the ‘Relived Day’. The Indian Muslims observed this day by lightning their houses and mosques, hoisting the Muslim League Flags and distributing sweets.

Moreover, they also hang the portraits of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. The strength of Muslim League also became the source of fame and contacts of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
