Saud Majeed Becomes Senator

Ex- MNA of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chaudhary Saud Majeed has become senator as election commission is all set to issue an official notification to him. According to the details, Saud Majeed had submitted his nomination papers for senate seat while no one candidate either independent or affiliated with political party submitted his papers for the seat.

However, this seat was vacant since the time of appointment of Rafique Rajwana as Governor of Punjab as Saud Majeed was also considering as to be the next governor of Punjab before the appointment of Rafique Rajwana. However, election commission had decided to schedule polls for senate seat after Rafique Rajwana which has now reserved by Saud Majeed.

Saud Majid who belongs to southern Punjab has served as Member of National Assembly of PML-N from NA-187 (Bahawalpur-V) during 2008-2013. He is currently working as member of Chief Minister Public Affairs Unit,Punjab. He completed his early education from Cardiff Business School and Sadiq Public School, Bahawalpur after which he admitted in Government College of Lahore in order to complete his graduation.

Ch. Saud Majeed’s father Abdul Majeed had also remained as MPA and mayor of Bahawalpur. Mr. Saud was born on 20^th January in 1968.
