Police reached the incident place and started the investigation. M.M. Tariq was shifted to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Lawyers boycotted the court proceedings in City and Malir Courts against the killing of M. M. Tariq Advocate. Mutahida Quami Movement (MQM) Rabita Committee also condemned the killing of senior lawyer M.M.Tariq and demanded immediate arrest of the murderers.
On 8th February senior lawyer Malik Jarar was shot dead by by unidentified men Gulbahar area in Peshawar.
M. M. Tariq Shaheed, was not sprayed with bullets. It was just one bullet, at a distance from the spine.
