Shortage Of Electricity In Pakistan

Electricity in Pakistan is mostly generated by two sector Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) which provides electricity all over the Pakistan except Karachi but in Karachi electricity is provided by Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC).

The situation of shortage of electricity has become worse because Pakistan faces significant problems in revamping its network, but so far Government of Pakistan, WAPDA, KESC have failed to meet the demand of electricity.

Electricity generation in Pakistan almost shrink by 50% in 2011. All the concerned authorties should start new programs for future, so that the generation of electricity is improved to according to the demand.
