Significance Of The Lucknow Pact

Lucknow Pact, in accordance with the Muslim angle, was an important success in the History of Muslim struggle and the first real and successful step towards the establishment of Pakistan. As a result of this pact, the Muslims of India first time got the opportunity to have a separate home land of their own in the form of separate Muslim Electorate.

Another importance of this pact was that now the Muslims and Hindus came in a position to pressurise the British Government jointly for the acceptance of their demands. Constitutional Reforms also became possible on the basis of this Pact.

In accordance with the Lucknow Pact, Hindus fixed the seal of inception of Pakistan in the form of acceptance of Muslims as a separate nation in India.
