Snow leopards Population in Pakistan is around 200

Snow LeopardSnow leopard which is known as one of the world’s most scarce animals has significant number in Pakistan as it has estimated that snow leopards’ population is around 200 in Pakistan. According to the details, a two-year old snow leopard has been found by a resident of Sost village in upper Hunza from a frozen river.

However, a local of the village named as Farmaan Raza has also created a large cage in order to protect rescued snow leopard as well as also taking effective steps for her special care. On the other hand, a US team is also visiting to Pakistan with the aim to train the rescued animal for hunt as they are all set to pair her with male snow leopard after her training. It is also saying that US team will leave the pair free in Naltar village, Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the research, it has found that there are almost 4,000 to 6,000 snow leopards in the whole world as they most used to live in the Central Asian Mountains. In Pakistan, snow leopards are mostly found in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral. It is pertinent to mention that several attacks on snow leopards have been counted on cattle people in Khunjerab National Park and the Central Karakoram National Park at Hunza-Nagar district.
