Social Security Scheme

Social Welfare means work for the general good of the society. It includes works which aim at the welfare of common people. Such works may be building hospitals, waiting rooms and inns, opening of schools and arranging for drinking water at public places.

Social security scheme has been planned by our government for the benefit of the labourers. Now it is duty of every mill-owner to deposit certain fixed amount with the social security office according to the number of labourers employed by him. The amount is spent for the welfare of the labourers. It includes their free medical treatment and immediate financial help.

It provides pension facilities for the workers whom suffer from serious injuries or have become permanently disabled and family pension for some period to their wives and children if they die while on duty.
