Soul is one of those things regarding which every philosopher has his own definition, the Greek philosophers differ with the Persian philosophers, and the Persian differs with the Indian philosophers.
But as Muslims we take our knowledge from revelation which came through Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. In this video Advocate Faiz Syed rejected the view that soul can harm living humans being, he said when anyone dies his soul is taken away and rests in a place between heaven and earth which is called ‘Barzak’.
If he followed commands of Allah he will have peace, but if he violated the commands of Allah then he will be in fire.
