Altaf HussainIslamabad: National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Defence has decided to take action against chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain due to his controversial statements against Pakistani military. According to the details, Defence Secretary Lt Gen (retd) Mohammad Alam Khattak said while condemning the statements of Altaf Hussain that legal actions will be taken against Altaf Hussain.

Khattak said while talking in a meeting of the Standing Committee on Defence that the stance of ISPR (Inter-Services Public Relation) is our stance on the statements of MQM’s chief as Altaf Hussain has spoken against ongoing operation of army in Karachi while criticizing army as well as he asked to take help from Indian intelligence agency RAW during his address. However after the MQM’s chief speech, army spokesman ISPR condemned Altaf Hussain’s statements through his Tweet on his official account of Tweeter while saying that MQM’s chief’s statements are baseless and this type of statements will not be tolerated in the future. Moreover, Altaf Hussian also demanded an apology for hurting the feelings and sentiments of National security agencies and patriotic people while saying that to take help from RAW was just a taunt as he did not actually mean to take help from RAW.
