Government has failed to adopt the 20th Amendment of the Constitution. Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry has also said while hearing the case that the court will have to order by-elections as unconstitutional, as 35 million bogus votes was in the old electoral lists if government is not succeeded in amending the constitution.
It would have been better for the democracy if this so called democratic government would have declared these by-elections as void and after completion of new voter lists (which would have no 35 million bogus voters) by-polls can be held.
