Once again Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain and Geo TV have stuck in controversy which came into view during morning show of Aamir Liaquat on Geo TV named as Subh-e-Pakistan. According to the details, Syed Arif Shah Owaisi who was invited as a guest of Aamir Liaquat in his morning show on 22nd December made offensive comments against Ahmadi community as well as host of the show Aamir Liaquat also appreciated the remarks of the cleric.
Syed Arif Shah Owaisi commented over Ahmadi community by saying that they are enemy of the country and also responsible for Peshawar attack which occurred on 16th December. However, Social media and civil society are condemning the episode of 22nd December of morning show of Geo TV as well as Geo TV and Aamir Liaquat are also targeted for presenting extremist speech against religious minority which is equal to the blasphemy of the holy prophet (P.B.U.H).
The spokesperson of Geo TV termed the incident which was happened during the morning show as a violation of network’s code of conduct by saying that audiences of the show always have different mentality from each other which is hard to control during the show. Geo group also apologized for showing negative content which has hurt the sentiments and feelings of others.
