Hafiz Akif Saeed who is the current Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami is known as former Naib (Deputy) Ameer and ex-Nazim of Media and Publication wing of the Tanzeem. He is the son of famous religious scholar and the founder of Tanzeem-e-Islami and was born on 2nd January in 1958 at Sahiwal.
The Ameer of Tanzeem-e-Islami was grown in an Islamic environment under the teaching of his religious father who played an important role in the praiseworthy bringing up of his children. He completed his early education from different schools of Sahiwal, Karachi and Lahore and received his graduation degree from Government college of Lahore. In 1980, he completed his master’s degree in Philosophy with good division from Punjab University. However he became Hafiz-e-Quran in his teenage during the years 1974 to 1977.
After getting free from education, Hafiz Akif Saeed joined the Quran Academy in the year 1982 in order to spend his life according to the Islam. Although he is also used to manage the academic wing of the Quran Academy which is known as a project of the Markazai Anjuman Khudum-ul-Quran formed by his father Dr. Israr Ahmed. Hafiz Akiq Saeed was emerged as founding member at the time of launching of Tanzeem-e-Islami in the year 1975.
On the other hand, he has also been playing his responsibilities for academic publications as well as also working as editorial manager of the monthly Meesaq and Hikamati Quran since 1983. Similarly, he has also been playing editorial responsibilities of the weekly Nida-e-Khilafat for several years as well as further responsible for all weeklies and monthlies which is used to publish under Markazai Anjuman Khudum-ul-Quran and the Tanzeem-e-Islami.
In 1999, he became the Nazim of the Quran College as well as also served as Nazim of the Media and Publication wing of Tanzeem-e-Islami during 1991-2002. However the founder of Tanzeem Dr. Israr Ahmed nominated Hafiz Akif Saeed as the successor for the Tanzeem-e-Islami in the year 1999 after deep discussions on the issue of next Ameer of the Tanzeem-e-Islami.
It is pertinent to mention that Dr. Israr Ahmed got retired from the responsibilities of the Ameer of Tanzeem in the year 2002 after which Hafiz Akiq Saeed started to play responsibilities as Ameer of the Tanzeem-e-Islami.
