Tax imposed On Usage For More Than Rs. 1500 Internet

Tax exemption on internet and broadband services has been finished by government. According to the Budget 2013-14 those who are using internet service for more than Rs. 1500 they will have to pay the tax to the government.

However students will be exempted from this tax and those who are using internet for their personal use in their homes will also be exempted from this tax. A student of masters program said that it is a good step by government and internet users should pay taxes as internet is very cheap in Pakistan as compare to other countries. He also said that it is good to know that students and those who are using it for personal purpose are exempted from this tax.

Meanwhile General Sales Tax(GST) on beauty parlors, gym, fitness and slimming centres have been reduced to 10% from 16% in this 2013-14 Budget.
