The Airline Of Pakistan

In 1903 two American brothers, Wilbur and Orville Wright, were the first men to fly an aero plane. Today, there are many different kinds of aero planes. Some carry one or two passengers, while others can carry nearly 700 passengers. Some aircraft can travel at over 2000 kilometers an hour.

In 1955 Pakistan started an airline called Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Today, PIA has more than 40 aircraft. There are 42 domestic airports and eight international airports which have flights to and from other countries.

Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport, the Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, and Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore, are at par with most modern airports of the world. Taken together, the airports in Pakistan provide facilities for about 15 million passengers annually.
