Various Wall Design Trends In Pakistan

Not only can vibrant wall treatments alter the look and feel of a space completely, they can also enhance the property’s value by three to five percent, whether other is a house, apartment, retail or office space. If you are renovating or selling property, here are four wall treatment options that can boost the value: 1. Clay bricks are primarily used in northern and central Pakistan; they are durable abduction maintenance free. Ideal for living rooms, foyer and courtyards, clay bricks can be found in a variety of textures and shades, ranging from reddish brown to dark brown. Clay is a natural insulator and keeps spaces cool; it is also one of the most economical wall treatment options.  Price range: Rs 150-350 per square foot.

2. Copper is one of the most expensive wall treatment options, and one of the stunning. Copper walls are ideal formal entertainment areas, foyers, retail spaces and powder rooms. Variations include corrugated, grainy or satin; eye-catching finishes include antique and gleaming rust. However, keep in mind that copper walls require frequent polishing, which can be costly. Price range: Rs 600-2,00 per square foot.

3. Stone bricks are durable, weather-resistant and maintenan-free. Available in a variety of sizes and colours (including brown, grey, olive, sepia and yellow) brick walls lend a rustic feel to spaces and are ideal for dens, living rooms, offices as well as exteriors. They work especially well in coastal areas where humidity can cause paint to peel, and even better, they keep room temperatures low. Price range: Rs 400-1,000 per square foot.

4. Wood is a sophisticated option, and works well in both modern and traditional settings. It is ideal for formal bedrooms, dens, entertainment areas, studies and office spaces. Wood can be polished in a variety of shades ranging from dark to light; options include oak, teak, rosewood and walnut. Wood is an effective insulator, and therefore keeps spaces cool in the summer and warm during the cooler months. Price range: Rs 600-2,000 per square foot.
