Lahore: Lollywood actress Madiha Shah has declined to perform mother’s role, when the script writer Naeem Wazeer approached him for his new movie. The actress rejected the offer stating that she is young to do such an aged role, as learnt by the media sources. Rubina Butt is the original name of the actress who is also a stage dancer. After entering into the media industry she changed her name. In the beginning of her career she got married. However the marriage failed. Presently she enjoys single status. She lives with her mother.
Her decision to join the showbiz industry met criticisms from her parents. But, with time her mother accepted her. The father however is still unhappy.
In the year 1989, Madiha began her career, starting as a model. One of her friends took her to television. “Hari Bhari Chhaon” was her first ever drama serial in Punjabi language. Her good work attracted offers from various reputable names. She did several dramas.
Lollywood directors then began to approach her for the movies. It was not until Altaf Hussain offered her and she pursued career in the Pakistani film industry.
Considerable time period, her negligence to take proper care of her physique caused loss to her in form of less work. She is mostly seen doing stage dramas. Madiha has also begun her boutique work as a side business. Few weeks before, she was seen at one of the morning shows, where she the guest.
