Awards ceremony of IIFA will be held in The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel. Bollywood stars will also attend the IIFA. There are also reports that Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan will also attend the award ceremony. Amitabh was then the brand ambassador of the annual event.
Last year IIFA awards were without big names as Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor didn’t attended the IIFA which was held in Singapore. This year organizers are trying their best to attract biggies of Bollywood and are also focusing on Pakistani artists and celebrities from fashion industry so that followers/viewers from Pakistan also increases.
However a student Faisal Khan of International Relations said that Pakistani artists must not go to IIFA awards as Indians are not treating Pakistani artists properly. He was of the view that we can see what happens in IPL and whenever any tiff sistuation arises between Pakistan and India, Pakistani artists are sent back from India.
