Supreme Court issued order to remove encroaches from Karachi. Accoridng to court orders operation against Encroachment are in progress these days in the supervision of Waseem Akhtar.
The anti-encroachment operation was conducted in Tibet Centre, Akbar Road and Zaibunnisa Street on the order of Supreme Court to remove encroachments from Saddar and adjacent areas.
The shop owners protested and stated that we were paying rent to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and other departments since last 50 years but their shops have been demolished outside. They demanded that government should provide an alternative place to set up their shops otherwise we will continue to protest.
Mayor Waseem Akhter taking to journalist said that government will not come in any pressure and strict action is being taken against encroachers and land mafia.
