Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal is a famous politician of 16th Assembly (tenure 2014 till date). He belongs to constituency PP-98 (Gujranwala-VIII). Currently he is the member of Committee on Privileges (Chairperson). He is associated with an old right wing party Pakistan Muslim League lead by a business-man turned politician who has been elected two times as the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. He has always been an active member in the party and has always voiced the concerns of his constituency at the party leadership and governmental level.
Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal holds a degree of Bachelor of Arts and is agriculturist by profession. He was born on 6th July 1943 and is married. He was born in Gudaspur, India. He is living a prosperous life with his family and has raised 7 dutiful, obedient and bright children. His father Chaudhry Sultan Ahmed was also an influential figure in his community. Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal belongs to an influential family all together. His son Ahsan Iqbal is also a very renowned politician and had been an official in District Council. Chaudhry Muhammad Iqbal had also possessed official positions previously, he had been a member of Provincial Assembly of Punjab for many different tenures like from 1985-1988, from 1988-1990, from 1990-1993, from 1993-1997, from 1997-1999 and from 2002-2007. His consecutive presence in parliament proves his credibility, merit and love that his voters possess for him. Due to the same reasons he is a highly respected politician. He has also traveled to various places across the world sometimes as private tours and sometimes as official ones. He traveled to Iran, Islamic Republic of Malaysia, United Kingdom and United States.
