Early Life & Education:
Syed Faisal Ali Subzwari was born in Karachi on August 4, 1975. He completed his early schooling from Karachi and then graduated from Preston Institute of Management Science and Technology (PIMSAT) and then got admission in Karachi University for M.A (Economics).
Details about his father Syed Ehtram Ali Subzwari, mother Parveen Subzwari and siblings are not known except one brother Saad Subzwari.
His family was politically active and supported MQM, his uncle Aslam Subzwari was a known figure who was killed during 1995 operation in Karachi.
Political Career:
Faisal Subzwari started his political career with All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organization (APMSO) which is the student wing of MQM. At a time when he was a student in university he joined APMSO and became the head of APMSO.
In 2002 general elections he entered the political sphere by becoming member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from the ticket of MQM. He remained part of the provincial assembly from 2002-2007 and then from 2008-2013.
During his second term he also served as the provincial minister for youth affairs and as MQM’s deputy parliamentary party leader.
After controversial speech of MQM leader Altaf Hussain the party broke in multiple factions, this happened at a time when Faisal Subzwari was on a self exile.
On his return he joined MQM-Pakistan under Farooq Sattar while criticizing the founder of MQM Altaf Hussain.
Personal Life:
The first marriage of Faisal Sabzwari was with Amber with whom he fathered three children which are named Dua, Haya and Rida Subzwari.
In 2019 in a private event he married famous news anchor and host Madiha Naqvi. It is said that the second marriage was held after differences between Faisal Subzwari and his wife resulted in divorce.
It is said that the couple was married long before and the valima was delayed for unknown reasons. The valima ceremony was also attended by political leaders such as PPP’s Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister of Sindh and Imran Ismail, Governor of Sindh.
