Farooq Sattar Begs For Namaz Delay, Emphasizes For His Speech In NA

Member National Assembly (MNA) and leader Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Dr. Farooq Sattar while giving speech in the National Assembly was asked by the Speaker Sardar Ayaz to take prayer break. The MQM member entered into detailed conversation with the speaker, declining to interrupt speech and taking a break.

On hearing Zuhr Azan, the speaker said that the assembly members shall say their prayers. Farooq urged Sardar to permit him for continuing the speech. ‘I would head the prayers later’, he said.

To his words, Sardar replied that he should stop delivering the speech and rather go for saying prayers. The speaker further said that in case of prayers headed by Farooq, he would have to offer ablution again.

Farooq pleaded the speaker asking him convincingly to not to interrupt his speech. He said the interior minister, journalists and children are also present in assembly’s gallery.

Sardar said that every one would remain in their positions. ‘After the Namaz break, you can carry on with your speech’, he added. The MQM member said, Namaz can be delayed for sometime, ALLAH has given space. I would carry on with my speech. Those who wish to offer prayers can leave.

The speaker stated that according to the committees’ regulations, 1: 00 PM is time for Namaz break. Sticking to his words, Sattar said that you can go with the house’s vote. I would offer prayers, after 15 minute, completing my speech.

When, the speaker after detailed convincing conversation failed to stop the speech, left his seat and went for offering prayers.
