Gaddafi Stadium Sealed Due To Non-payment Of Taxes

stadiumLahore: The Excise and Taxation Department has sealed Gaddafi Stadium due to non-payment of property tax as officials of Excise Department told that Gaddafi stadium is payable of Rs.5, 83, 5000. According to the details, Excise officials said a case of tax payment has been going on with Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) since 14 years.

It is important to mention here that Lahore High Court (LHC) sent notice to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to pay tax but when no action was taken, the property made sealed. The officials said that commercial property will remain sealed until the tax payment. Later the main door got opened of Gaddafi stadium on the orders of Excise authorities as Excise Inspector Fida Hussain told that the door was opened for the entrance of Chairman of PCB. However entrance got open on the on the instructions of higher authorities of excise tax while it has decided to seal the commercial property until the payment of tax.

In this regard, PCB has also appealed for stay order to LHC but their plea got rejected by the court and commercial property got sealed on the notice of Excise department. [alert style=”white”]It is to remember that PCB is a non-profit organization which generate all profits and incomes with the help of development and promotion of cricket.[/alert]
