Jamaat-e-Islami Mujahid Chunna Shows Concern Over Deaths In Thar

Islamkot: Jamaat-e-Islami’s Provincial Information Secretary Mujahid Chunna has expressed his concern over deaths in Thar while saying that the death of children in Thar due to hunger and poverty is a national tragedy. The Sindh government Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is going nothing for Thar people who are losing their priceless lives due to shortage of food and basic necessities, Mujahid Chunna added.

Jamaat-e-Islami leader also said that Thar’s people are starving but no leader of any party care about them and is busy in their own affairs. He further said that showy steps and quietness of government in this regard is showing that they are waiting for big tragedy because they are not fulfilling their responsibilities in a proper manner. It is the governmental duties to take care people’s lives and their properties and to relief of victims of any tragedy but no action has been taking for the rights of people, he commented.

While talking to the journalists, Mujahid Chunna said that Thar has also affected before but indifference of the government and corruption of Bureau workers are stealing the lives of several people. as Jamaat-e-Islami has appealed to government to make practical steps in order to improve the situation as Jamaat-e-Islami’s all institutes are busy in the welfare work for Thar’s people, Mujahid Chunna remarked.
