2. Serving as a Senior Protection Officer

Responsibilities Concluded:
• Develop monthly and weekly activity plan of the protection unit.
• Assist the Field Service manager in proposing and designing new monitoring tools relevant to operational context.
• Identify protection gaps, monitoring limitation and other field challenges related to the work of his unit.
• Assist the Field Service Manager in preparing the field-spending plan on a monthly basis.
• Ensure protection of IDPs by providing leadership and guidance to the protection officers and better implementation of all program activities under the protection unit (Information gathering through protection monitoring, observation spots, monitoring patrols, meetings, FGDs, interviews, verification, analyzing and reporting);

Responsibilities Concluded:
• Monitor the protection situation in Targeted area of intervention.
• Daily and make regular contact with the beneficiary community to identify incidents and protection concerns, including gaps in service provision.
• Systematically gather and update the data on Extremely Vulnerable Individuals (EVIs) to ensure facilitation through referrals and timely interventions.
• Collect information on basic living conditions and specific issues of concern among the IDPs, including information related to access to Shelter, Food, Healthcare, Clean Water and Hygiene, Education, Safety and Protection services.
• Collect baseline data on monthly basis on sect oral activities for analysis
• Provide support in data collection for various surveys as requested by Protection Cluster (e.g. Return Intention Survey) .
• Refer specific protection-related incidents identified during monitoring (such as theft or physical violence, denial to assistance and/or services, and discrimination related to assistance and/or services) to appropriate service providers, prioritizing EVIs.
• Support appropriate referral mechanism and provide them with relevant IRC referral tools and schedule of services provision.
• Facilitate safe and voluntary return of IDPs.
