Karachi: Jamiat-e –Ulema Islam’s delegation has met Khursheed Begam Secretariat and MQM Rabita Committee’s members in the presidency of Hafiz Ahmed Ali and Maulana Iqbal ullah at Azizabad. MLA Sheikh Salahuddin , MLA Anwar Raza, MQM Ulema Committee incharge Javed Ahmed and other members were also presented at the event.
During the meeting Rabita Committee said to the delegation that MQM president Altaf Hussain has always struggle for the removal of extremism and sectarianism. Rabita Committee’s members said that it is important that all religious scholars should follow the philosophy of peace and forbearing in the Islamic institutes for the betterment of the religious harmony and spread the knowledge of Islam among the people.
The delegation of Jamiat-e –Ulema Islam appreciated the efforts of Altaf Hussain in the context of removal of religious hatred and said they could not ignore the efforts of Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain for eliminating sectarian strife between different sects and for promoting sectarian harmony. The scholars said the way the MQM had made efforts for the elimination of sectarian strife in Sindh, especially Karachi, was praiseworthy.
They believed unity among different religious sects would benefit the country and the Muslim Ummah. The scholars prayed for the elimination of terrorism and sectarian strife from the country. They also prayed for the MQM chief’s good health. The meeting is being organized with a view to promote inter-faith harmony, brotherhood and maintenance of peace in the country.
