Pakistan Poultry Association Ahmed Wasim Demands Compensation

Karachi: The Chairman of Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) Ahmed Wasim has demanded compensation of Rs28.4 from the government in order to fulfil the losses which emerged as great loss to poultry farms due to illogical plans of the government. According to the details, Ahmed Wasim while talking to the media on Saturday said that country’s poultry farms have suffered with losses for six months as 30-35% poultry farms got closed.

PPA’s chairman Ahmed Wasim also said that poultry business has been suffering with Rs26.72 per kg loss as the cost of production of broilers was Rs156.07 per kg before but it became Rs129.35 per kg during the last 6 months. Poultry industry would collapse more often if government will not take any effective action in this regard very soon as situation is getting worst day by day, he added.

On the other hand, agriculturalists or breeding companies have already faced Rs3.86 billion loss as they are not able to earn over according to their invest price. The average national selling price is getting slow down as per chick is selling in Rs21.49 for two months as it is used to sold in Rs40.82, Ahmed Wasim told. However, poultry crises are emerging as great loss due to the strict state control of poultry prices, industry officials claimed.
