PTI Amjad Khan Afridi Assures Peshawar Artists

PTI Amjad AfridiPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s leader and Advisor to Chief Minister on Tourism, Sports, Museums, Archeology and Youth Affairs, Amjad Afridi assured Peshawar artists while saying that we will prepare cultural policy and will meet with the demands of artists. Rs.200 million Endowment Fund will be formed very soon for the welfare of artiste community, he added.

According to the details, PTI Amjad Khan was invited as a chief guest at a function at Peshawar Press Club on Tuesday where he addressed to the event in this regard. He also said that it is necessary to take practical steps for the promotion Arts Culture despite of giving up like past governments. PTI is all set to create wide range of career opportunities for young talent of the province by promoting Art and Culture, PTI Amjad Khan assured.

On the other hand, Pashto singers, Bakhtiar Khattak, Zeek Afridi, Humayun Khan and Shan Yousafza also addressed to the event and demanded Copyright Act should be implemented instead of the current Board of Censorship as well as also open the only cultural center of Peshawar Nishtar Hall for artists and take action to start programs here soon by stopping parking lot. Peshawar artists also warned that we will protest in front of the Provincial Assembly if our demands will not be completed.
