Rural Culture Of Pakistan

Pakistan basically an agrarian or rural society where more than 70 percent of the total population resides in the villages. The rural society has always been self sufficient in the sense that almost all the goods of daily requirements are produced by the village people.

In the beginning of 20th century, this self sufficiency was finished and the present condition is that even the smallest village of Pakistan depends on various goods imported from abroad. Every villager exacts his livelihood from the land. He wants to pass his life and hesitates to accept the new trends.

The rural life is the laborious and simple and the villagers have to engage almost all the time with the job. The wages are paid to the village workers generally in kind. The village youth after cultivation, prefer to join army service and proved to be the good soldiers.
