Riyadh: Around 20,000 illegal Indian residents have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as the government takes notice of the issue after the strict amendments in the constitution. An official of the Indian consulate told the media that the Indian natives have had been earlier warned and informed of their illegal residing in the country and told to return to their homeland without completing the official requirements . ‘ We had earlier informed them to leave the country in sometime as they would escape from facing the penalties but people look less concerned to pay heed and hence, the Saudi government has now taken action against them after taking notice of the mass number of illegal residents here’.
There has been considerable increase in the illegal comers in the country, despite the warning given to evacuate the area, further added the official.
Extensions of two months have been given to the illegal residents to leave the country by the Saudi government. The Saudi government has extended the date till 3 November 2013. Indian Consulate General Faiz Ahmed Qidwai has directed the consulate officials to ascertain that no more illegal Indian reside in the country after the given date.
It is worthwhile here to mention that earlier too, number of Indians have had been detained from the State but the practice to violating the country’s law looks common.
