Strike In Karachi On 8th February – Schools, Colleges Closed?

Karachi will witness another strike on Friday (8th February). The strike call is given by different religious schools of Karachi against the continued killing of innocent people.

The announcement of strike was made in a press conference at Jamiatul Uloom Islamia, Binori town. Wafaqul Madaris al-Arabia head Maulana Saleem Ullah Khan, Jamiatul Uloom Islamia head Maulana Abdul Razzaq Iskandar, central spokesman for Ahle Sunnat-Wal-Jamat Aurangzeb Farooqi and JUI-F Karachi chief, Qari Muhammad Usman was present in the press conference. They condemned the killings and announced that a wheel-jam and shutter-down strike would be observed on February 8 in the metropolitan city.

Now parents are in confusion that whether schools and colleges will remain open or close on Friday. No official announcement has been made till now regarding the closure of schools/colleges.

Update: There are reports that some schools, colleges will remain open and some will remain close on Friday.
