Karachi: Construction of the Kalabagh dam should be taken keeping in the view thenation’s interest and considering consultations from the experts on the technical basis. This thing was said by Tanzeem-e-Islami Ameer Akif Saeed in a released statement.
He said that unfortunately the projects that have a lot to do with the nation’s economy are also made part of politics. He also expressed deep concern over the news published that India is giving heavy amount to the leaders who are opposing the Kalabagh dam plan.
He said that the decision as taken by the High Court have created new situation in relation to the dam.
“It is the national responsibility of the political leaders to analyse the project keeping in view the country’s interest”. The Ameer also said that if the project is seen in Pakistan’s interest then no opposition would be paid heed instead problems of KhyberPakhtunkhwa and Sindh would be addressed.
