Target Killing Increased At University Road, Gulshen-e-Iqbal

Karachi: University Road in Karachi has become easier target for target killers these days as 4 target killing incidents have been emerged in just one 1 month near University road. According to the details, Gulshan-e-Iqbal DIG East is not taking proper steps for the establishment of peace despite of successive targeted killings attacks as no police patrols were increased neither closed-circuit cameras were installed from Hassan Square to Nipa Chowrangi.

Within 23 days, 3 major government officials including 5 persons have been killed nearby Aziz Bhatti road as Deputy Director Land’ MC Talat Yusuf and Director of National Highway Authority Sohail Bhatti were killed on 18^th January in front of Federal Urdu University Gulshan Iqbal by unidentified armed men who opened fire on their official vehicle. Similarly on 30^th January, armed men on motorcycles shot Customs officers Salahuddin Ahmad and Mehmood Ahmed near Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13 as well as 45-years old PPP’s official Ahsan Ali Danish killed by 2 armed men on motorcycle near Aziz Bhatti Park on 9^th February.

University Road which is surrounded by target killers these days has become unsafe road as lots of target killing incidents are occurring here days after days but no action has been taking in this regard from government officials and police as well.
