Veteran Lawyer And Writer Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgari Died

Abdul Ghafoor BhurgaLarkana: Famous writer and lawyer Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgari died today at the age of 94  at his residency after suffering from prolonged illness. He got buried in the Abubakar graveyard  in Larkana city as he left 5 sons and 6 daughters. His funeral prayers were held at Qasmia Mosque in eveining by Syed Hussain Shah Qambar Waro.

Including large number of lawyers, High Court Bar Association president Ghulam Dastagir Shahani, general secretary Shamsuddin Abbasi, former ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Abdul Razzak Soomro, Sindh Bar Council member Asif Soomro, former MPA Haji Munwar Ali Abbasi and Ghulamullah Mahoto made their appearance at his funeral but his elder son Majid Bhurgari who is founder of Sindhi Computing could not attened his father funeral as he lives in the US.

Abdul Ghafoor Bhurgari who possessed soft spoken and kind nature had wrote four famous books regarding lives and careers of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah and Quaid-i-Awam Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He remained active in Jamaat Shoara-i-Sindh and also played an important part in the organization of literary conferences in Larkana.

Late Abdul Ghafoor was born on 1st January in 1921 in Ghulam Nabi Bhurgari village. He had keen interest in politics and became active member of the Muslim League in a very early age. He completed his matriculation from Madrassah High School, Larkana and graduation from C & S College. In 1946 he received his L.L.B degree from Aligarh Muslim University as well as he also contained Masters Degree in the Persian language.
